If you imagine a mini carnival right in the center of Saint Augustine’s University’s campus, you know exactly what Falcon Frenzy is. It’s the weekend of Homecoming 2012. What better way than to start it off than with such an occasion?
Every year, Falcon Frenzy is held on the campus quadrangle for students, alumni, and the community to enjoy. Blow-up attractions, mechanical bulls, caricatures, food vendors and apparel vendors — all were there for anyone wanting to enjoy a beautiful Friday afternoon.
This year, the phenomenal Superior Sounds Marching Band performed, setting the tone for the weekend. Sounds of songs such as “Do What You Wanna, ” “Bands,” and the forever-loved theme song for Soul Train graced the ears of many as they arrived on campus to enjoy the festivities. Other performers were lined up for the rest of the day. Rapper/songwriter Vance all the way from Atlanta, GA, charmed the stage with his two hit singles that are all the rage around his hometown.
Falcon Frenzy just got the weekend started, however. The Homecoming step show “Unleash the Greeks” starts at 8 p.m. featuring the SAU Greeks as well as High School step teams. Immediately after is the “Welcome To My House Party” student activities party.
