Softball team splits doubleheader

ANDERSON, S.C. – Marley Parker (So./Langley, British Columbia) batted 3-for-3 and scored one run for Saint Augustine’s University, which lost 9-1 in the first game and 8-0 in the second game of a softball doubleheader against Anderson University at the AU Softball Complex on Sunday, Feb. 28, 2016.
 
Parker singled to right field in the first inning and scored on an outfield error in the fourth inning of the first game. In the second game, Parker batted 2-for-2 to lead the Lady Falcons offensively. The sophomore standout hit an infield single in the first inning and a single to center field in the fourth inning against Anderson (15-3 overall).
 
The Lady Falcons (0-7 overall) will play in the Shaw Softball Challenge in Raleigh, N.C., this weekend. The Challenge will be held at the Walnut Creek Softball Complex on Friday, March 4 through Sunday, March 6.
