The Democratic National Convention’s Forward Together Bus Tour stopped today at Saint Augustine’s University on Thursday, Oct. 27. Members of the Congressional Black Caucus
and other Democratic elected officials were on hand to encourage early voting and highlight the stakes of the 2016 presidential election.
The event, held on “The Quad,” featured Rep. Alma Adams, Rep. G.K. Butterfield, Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, Rep. Donald M. Payne, Jr. Rep. Stacey Plaskett, Rep. David Price, Rep Cedric Richmond, and Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman.
Forward Together is the driving force behind the DNC’s closing argument to voters in the final days of the 2016 presidential election. Over the course the tour, Democratic officials, community leaders, celebrities, activists and hard-working Americans have made stops at universities, churches, small business, community centers and Democratic field offices.
