Golf team places seventh in fall classic

RALEIGH, NC (Oct 28) – This week, Saint Augustine’s University placed seventh in the VSU Trojan Fall Classic at the Dogwood Trace Golf Course in Petersburg, Va.
 
Virginia Union University won the tournament with a two-day score of 605. The University of Maryland Eastern Shore and Livingstone College tied for second with a 614 score. The Falcons shot a score of 938.
 
J.T. Moore (Fr./Fairfax, VA) led the Falcons with a two-day score of 168 on the par 72, 6,605-yard course. He shot an 85 on the first day and an 83 on the second day. The tournament was held Monday, Oct. 24 and Tuesday, Oct. 25.
 
Play will resume for the Falcons in the spring. They will host the SAU Invitational on March 12-14, 2017.
