PR firm seeks fellowship applicants

FleishmanHillard, a global Communications firm that has been recognized as one of top leaders in its industry, will be accepting applications for its 2016 Alfred Fleishman Diversity Fellowship from November 1, 2016 through March 1, 2017. Priority review will be given to those that apply before Feb. 1.

The program is targeted to up and coming public relations professionals. The fellowships are six-to-twelve months in duration, offering a challenging work experience in one of FleishmanHillard’s U.S. offices. The program includes a competitive pay, professional development and senior-level mentorship. In addition, company benefits such as medical insurance, 401k, vacation and sick leave are included.

Fellows have had the opportunity to work on client projects, media relations, events, new business pitches, and many other practical experiences in the field of integrated communications.

“We are exciting about this opportunity and want to make sure we are able to get the word out to as many viable participants possible, as it is such a great experience for those entering the PR profession,” said Alia Highley, who works in human resources for the company.

At the end of the assignment, fellows are given strong consideration for full-time positions with FleishmanHillard based on their job performance and the needs of the business.

Interested students should go to the company’s website (fleishmanhillard.com), then click on the “Careers” tab, then “scholarships and fellowships.”
