Nash of SAU to suit up in College Football All-Star game Sunday

RALEIGH, N.C. (Dec. 3) – Standout linebacker Durrell Nash (Sr./Chicago, IL) of Saint Augustine’s University will play in the FCS National Bowl Game in Daytona Beach, Fla., on Sunday, Dec. 8. Kickoff is 1:30 p.m. at Daytona Beach Stadium.
You can watch Nash in the all-star game on flofootball.com. He will suit up for the American team wearing No. 6, his same number at SAU.
The FCS National Bowl is a college football all-star contest featuring prominent players from the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision, Division II and Division III. The game usually attracts NFL and Canadian Football League scouts, according to its website.
Nash made a name for himself in his only season with the Falcons. He made the All-CIAA First Team after leading the conference in tackles (92) and tackles per game (10.2). The SAU senior ranks 18th nationally in Division II in tackles per game.
An All-Region nominee, Nash also tallied 9 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, two interceptions, five pass break-ups and seven passes defended. He tied for 16th in the CIAA in passes defended per game.
