Saint Augustine’s University will have its annual honors convocation on Friday April 11, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Emery Gymnasium. It will honor students who have achieved high scholastic achievements during the 2013-2014 academic years.
Department heads will distribute certificates to the honored students of the day. The keynote speaker will be Bruce A. Mount Jr. an alumni of St. Augustine’s College. He was born and raised in Eatonville, Florida. Mount was a Presidential Scholar and Academic Hall of Fame inductee at Saint Augustine’s College, currently Saint Augustine’s University. He received a bachelor of science degree in business administration and went on to pursue law at Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University College of Law.
The event is free and open to friends and families of the students, faculty and staff. Immediately following the honors convocation the different departments within the university will have their individual award ceremonies.
