Circus will feature SAU Greek “strollfest”

The Circus is coming!

The UniverSoul Circus is returning to Raleigh, NC., and Saint Augustine’s University will be part of it. Greek organizations from Saint Augustine’s, as well as Shaw University, will participate in a “strollfest” before the opening night show on March 3.

The event is part of an effort by the UniverSoul Circus to attract college students, according to Emily Carson, promotions manager of The UniverSoul Circus. “This is a great opportunity for the Greek letter organizations to represent their respective organizations in a positive manner,” Carson said.

The event will be live at the Walnut Creek Amphitheater from March 3 through March 15. Tickets are $17.50; children under 12 months can enter for free as long as they sit on a lap of the adult they are accompanying. No outside toys, strollers or car seats permitted. Parking for cars is $5, while parking for buses is $10.

Raleigh is part of the circus’s tour through different cities along the east coast, from Georgia to New York.  The show features a variety of acts, including balancing acts, a trapeze and the “globe of death.” (Click on the video above for a preview of the circus.)
