WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Olivia Porter (Jr./Bakersfield, CA) and Shakera Hall (Fr./Bridgetown, Barbados) each recorded six kills for Saint Augustine’s University in a 3-0 CIAA women’s volleyball loss to Winston-Salem State University at Whitaker Gymnasium on Monday, Oct. 26, 2015.
Dionna Hopkins (Sr./St. Croix, US Virgin Islands) added five kills for the Lady Falcons, who lost 11-25, 21-25, 13-25. Juliseea Thomas (Sr./St. Croix, US Virgin Islands) tallied 18 assists and eight digs, and Zoey Isom (Fr./Phoenix, AZ) finished with 16 digs. Porter added nine digs and two blocks for the Lady Falcons (2-5 Southern Division, 4-6 CIAA, 8-11 overall).
Olivia Owens led the Rams (6-1 Southern Division, 9-1 CIAA, 12-6 overall) with 10 kills and Sydney Holland added nine kills. Mya Snow collected 18 assists and Zipporah Foster added 12 assists for the Rams, who also got 13 digs from Michelle Murray-Garcia, five blocks from Jocelyn Mills and four service aces from Roselyn Mitchell.
The Lady Falcons are scheduled to visit Fayetteville State University on Thursday, Nov. 5, at 3 p.m. The site of the match is Capel Arena in Fayetteville, N.C.
