Falcons’ track team will be honored at halftime at the NCAA Tournament

RALEIGH, N.C. (March 17) – The Saint Augustine’s University men’s track and field team will be honored Sunday, March 18, at halftime of the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament game between the University of North Carolina and Texas A&M University, which begins at 5:15 p.m. at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, N.C. The Falcons will be recognized for winning their fifth consecutive NCAA Division II Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Championship in May 2017.

The SAU track and field program has won 39 NCAA Division II men’s and women’s indoor and outdoor national titles combined under legendary head coach George Williams. He has won the most NCAA Division II track and field championships of any coach, regardless of division.
