RALEIGH, N.C. (Sept. 9) – Interim Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs Wanda B. Coneal has announced that Saint Augustine’s University has received authorization from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), to begin offering its academic programs in an online format. This approval represents a historic milestone for the University and will enable us to greatly expand our educational reach.
President Gaddis Faulcon’s leadership and vision have been instrumental in achieving this feat. Certainly, gaining the ability to offer online and graduate programs will fulfill a major part of the University’s Renaissance 2020 strategic vision. Saint Augustine’s University will deliver its Organizational Management bachelor’s degree as a fully- online program, beginning spring 2020, through the Department of Extended Studies.
“This authority is a game-changer for SAU,” says, Dr. Michael Boone, Dean of Online, Continuing Education, Graduate, and Special Programs. “It represents the collective effort of members of the Office of the Provost and other members of the University community,” says Boone. This approval authority means that any currently approved University program can now be offered in a fully- online format. Dr. Coneal states that “We are delighted to have this additional educational delivery option available and look forward to beginning this new frontier at our institution.”
