2020 FAFSA is open

Money is always and will always be a big thing when it comes to college and trying to graduate. A crucial part of the hunt for money is FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). FAFSA is the application students fill out in order to determine their financial aid eligibility. It is supposed to be filled out every year for students who need aid.

The 2020 FAFSA is now open and available for students to fill out — it opened Oct. 1. It is important that students fill out their FAFSA as soon as possible. By getting your aid application for the next year filled out early, you will more than likely get your financial aid back before people who fill it out late. You may even get more money when you fill out your aid early.

Although you are getting aid from the government it is still good to apply for scholarships. Getting outside scholarships and adding it to the aid that is being given to you will boot the money that you get to cover school and may also give you a chance to get a refund check if you have more than enough.

All returning students need to fill out and complete the FAFSA online in a timely manner. Getting this done and out the way is a huge stress reliever and will be very beneficial in the long run. You can apply for FAFSA at https://studentaid.ed.gov/sa/fafsa
