After a breakout year, Roddy Ricch is in enviable place

Rodrick Wayne Moore Jr., better known by his stage name Roddy Ricch, ended 2019 with what fans say was the album of the year. It was definitely a good year for the 21-year-old rapper.

In the music industry hard work definitely pays off and it is clear that Roddy Ricch has really been putting in hard work and dedication since he signed with Atlantic Records. In November of 2018 he released his mixtape “Feed Tha Streets II” and it reached number 67 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Most people know him from his song “Every Season,” which was definitely a banger. Roddy was a part of the Freshman XXL Cypher 2019 and I think that is what really set the tone for his year. And it was right before he dropped his song “Ballin” with DJ Mustard which was No.1 on Billboards.

Roddy Ricch released his album “Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial” on December 6, 2019. I can honestly say the whole album was really good and there was not one bad song on there. His single “The Box” was the No. 1 song in the world for a long time, which had artist Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande mad.

As a new and upcoming artist, Ricch was nominated for three Grammys and actually won one of those Grammys, which is a great accomplishment especially with this being his third year in the industry; not a lot of people can say that.
