Saint Augustine’s University has announced important details about the Spring 2024 Graduation and Commencement ceremonies. The details are as follows:
– April 26: Senior letters and cap and gown distribution from 2:00 pm – 6 pm; 8-week Session 2, Online Bachelor and Masters Spring term 2 ends
– May 2: Baccalaureate and Honors Cord Ceremony at 6 p.m.
– May 3: ROTC Commissioning at 10 a.m.
– May 3: Graduation Rehearsal (Mandatory for graduates) at 11:00 am in the Emery Gymnasium
– May 4: Commencement at 9 a.m. in George Williams Complex (Rain or Shine)
Graduation Attire Guidelines:
– Men: Black or navy-blue dress trousers, white shirt with a dark tie, black socks, and black dress shoes.
– Women: Black or navy dress or black or navy skirt with a white blouse, flesh tone or black hosiery, black pumps, or slingbacks (no open toes). Ladies, PLEASE be very selective with your shoe heel. Remember, you will be walking on turf (football field), and it is extremely uncomfortable to walk in stilettos on turf. (Note: Graduation attire will be monitored and enforced.)
Graduation Rehearsal Details:
– Date: May 3
– Time:11:00am
– Location: Emery Gymnasium
– Note: All graduates must check in by 11:00 am. The rehearsal will last approximately two hours. Please ensure you have your cap and hood for the rehearsal.
Commencement Details:
– Date: May 4
– Time: 9 a.m.
– Location: George Williams Complex (Rain or Shine)
– Check-in: 7:15am, Emery Gymnasium
– Senior Group Photo: 8:00 am
– Processional Begins: 8:30 am
NOTE: Commencement will be live-streamed for those unable to attend.
